  • Is there a mobile phone that can use my home wireless internet connection to browse the internet?

Posted by admin on September 30th, 2009 and filed under mobile | 1 Comment »

Basically is there a mobile phone like an iphone, but doesnt use wireless broadband to connect to the internet?

    The short answer is Yes.

The problem is that most service providers seem to only sell those phones with a provision that you must buy internet service for the duration of the contract.

    If you go here:
    http://www.letstalk.com/cell-phones/shop.htm

and click the Advanced Filter button, there is a WiFi feature selection. Check this, and you can see the offerings with WiFi across service providers.

How do I go about getting a visa and somewhere to work? I have looked into what kind of visas there are and because I have a bachelors degree I can get the HB1 visa. However I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that do sponsor International people for PAID work with their company?

    Telecommunication…?

what are 2 ways codes and signals have been used to communicate??
    (like morse code)

Semaphores (flags) to communicate an alphabet, especially for ship-to-ship. Each flag had an easy-to-spot pattern that stood for a letter. Still used today.

Baudot (TTY) code - a 5-bit serial code that came just after Morse and is distant predecessor to ASCII. The operator actually typed in the bits by hand.

8b/10b coding serial coding, where groups of 8 bits are re-encoded into 10-bit symbols to remove any DC bias. Used for LVDS, PCI Express and other serial links.

Are you wanting digital service or regular phone service??? I did a google search for you, and apparently your area code is 608, which is covered by MID WEST TEL-NET…their link is…www.mwt.net …If you want digital, I recommend Vonage, they are good and cheaper than most companies, I have no problems with their service…good luck

How do i know when my mobile has been bugged/tampered with?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under mobile | 7 Comments »

Could you help, i have tried to look on the internet for help but cant find what am looking for. What it is i have a mobile ( Nokia 5200) orange mobile phone, regardless where i go in aberdeen, my girlfriend knows exactly where ive been but doesnt know what am doing, am sure my mobile has been bugged, is their any good websites so i can find how she knows where i am. I dont drive, it must be the mobile. Can i take it to a repair shop, whould they find the problem. I have never cheated on my girlfriend. Is it easy to bug a phone or can you see where my mobile is from the internet. Thanks for reading. Am at my wits end with this problem.

It’s been heard off but i’m not sure if it’s not possible, your girlfriend would need some extensive knowledge of phones to be able to bug it. How about mailing your phone to a friend in another part of the country & see if she knows.
A phone shop may be able to help you more than what we can on here.

    Telephone Service Laws?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under local telephone service | 1 Comment »

I have a friend who lives in a small city of ~30,000 people. The entire city is controlled by a greedy phone company. If you want landline phone service or local internet you must use them. The prices are not competitive. He is paying $20/month for a dial up internet account + $30/month for the stupid phone line to use said account. The phone company will offer him "high speed" DSL internet for ~$80/month (750kup/750kdown) which is not even that fast. There is no option to use Sprint, MCI, AT&T, etc…just his crappy greedy phone company. Is this legal? It’s a total monopoly.

if theres no other provider then yup, its legal. several companies (verison, cingular, vodofone, ect) have a wireless card that works nationwide. its about $60/month. we drove from from dallas to san antonio (texas) to los angeles, all around there for 2 weeks, north to vancuver. back to la, then to austin. we lost signal a while after ft stockton ut got it back in a few minutes. it was itermittent around chico, cali. land lines suck. cingular has a good plan, its $40/month, but its; roll over, free nighs & weekends, good service, ect. check it out.

Does anybody know if this device called Majic Jack will work with home phone service from AT&T?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under home phone service | 1 Comment »

I have been thinking about getting this device called Majic jack to save some $$$.

I have At&T as my home phone provider and hoping it will work with it.

it works through your computer and your internet provider and has nothing to do with your phone company. unless of course your using AT&Ts unreliable super slow DSL junk. if so look forward to an unreliable phone service also.
