  • Some Java realtime applications I use have a tendency to disconnect frequently-what can be done about it?

Posted by admin on April 25th, 2010 and filed under comms |

Disconnecting realtime stock quotes and charts for example. At least sometimes it is because of a brief disconnect in the internet link but at times I am certain that the program itself just decides to quit. Is there a comms redundancy setting or something that can be adjusted?

The most likely cause is packet loss on your internet connection. Different applications will handle the situation differently. Try to go through settings or contact helpdesk if it is a commercial app, or add error checking if it is your own program.
