My husband and I are needing internet in our home. We both use our cell phones and do not have a land line. I am just wondering if we would need to set up a land line if we were interested in getting dial up?
Dial up, yes. It runs on the phone line.
Go for cable broadband- In my area, it was about $5 less to get cable internet service than it was for a phone line and dial up, AND, it’s tons faster. You wouldn’t want dial up. It’s far too slow these days with so many web pages using more & more graphics & stuff that takes way longer to load than you’d want to wait around for on dial up.

You sure do need a telephone land line connection if you want internet dial up service. You could go with a satellite internet service, but they’re more expensive than dial up and not as reliable. If you have cable television service, check out their high speed internet costs. It’s faster and more reliable.
