Bramwell, West Virginia was a residential paradise, wealthy coal barons could live in luxury. They could enjoy a fabulous social life among their wealthy neighbors,
There were plenty of merchants, ministers, doctors, attorneys and others that
supported their lifestyle. In the late 1800s, Bramwell had electric street lights, a weekly newspaper, a water company, and even telephone service.

This is great. My great-grandmother Ocie Adams & great-grandfather Ray Tabor were born in Coopers and raised in Cooper’s and Bramwell. My dad was born in Pocahontas, Va. I’m the great-g-g-g granddaughter of Jordon Nelson of Pocahontas Fuel Company. My great-g-g grandfather Henderson Tabor survived one of the worst mine explosions. Unfortuntaly, I never have been to those areas of West Virginia. These videos show me a lot. I treasure being able to see the towns of my heritage. Thank you.
