DIDX.net is privileged to have some of the best integrators on earth. Max Glucksmann ists several new and traditional IP communications companies to leverage the opportunity to sell DID/DDI (USA and international phone numbers). He shows how wholesale service providers can sell phone numbers to the 12,500 wholesale wireless and other types of telephony companies using DIDX. In turn, he ists the wholesale buyers to buy phone numbers.
What’s so great about phone numbers? They bring the world a little closer, provide virtual offices, are a status symbol, and make it where those you care about place a local call no matter where they are to you. I.e., a British citizen vacations in Valencia for 4 months each year. He buys a local London phone number from his service provider like Conversa Telecom. His friends, colleagues, clients, suppliers in London dial the local phone number. It rings wherever British citizen decides at his convenience… GoogleTalk, SIP client on cell phone or laptop, to his landline, and more.
Potential wholesale DID/DDI service providers can reach Max with personal guidance as a consultant on Linkedin, Twitter, GoogleTalk, Skype or Facebook to get started. One can also contact DIDX directly at www.didx.net! Videos are available to show to use DIDX successfully at http://www.didx.net/videos

Magic Jack officially launched in March 2008 where they have been giving away the magic jack device and a year’s worth of long distance in the us and canada for free. A second year can be had for just $20 more.
The magic jack actually cost me $50 for the unit and shipping and the first year’s service, but considering all the alternatives out there, this is by far the coolest and cheapest feature filled telephone service I’ve come across.
The magic jack also gets kudos for being mac compatible - uming you are running a newer mac with the Intel processors.
Magic jack is true to their word as far as initial set-up goes. After removing the unit from it’s packaging and plugging in the optional USB extension cord, I plugged in my phone jack at one end and the magic jack into my computer’s USB port. It should be noted that for whatever reason, magic jack says you can’t plug it into a hub for it to work.
After launching the magicJack application, it walks you through the registration process where you enter your email, password, home address etc. Then you get to pick an area code from a list of dozens of metropolitan markets across the United States. You don’t have to pick a local number exchange unless you want to. Once that’s complete, you are ready to rock and roll.
You also get caller ID, call waiting and voice mail free with the magicJack service. Setting up voice mail is simple enough as the menu walks you through it so you can personalize your greeting, busy message and name if you choose.
MagicJack also works with 911 - one of the reasons why you are asked to input your address. This is how they are able to determine where you are. And this is key as you can take your magicJack ANYWHERE and use it. You could be in a hotel room or on the other side of the world and so long as you have internet access (except dial-up as that isn’t fast enough), you can make and receive calls all day long. So if you are in an area that is serviced by 911, it is recommended to add the address where you currently are to the pull down menu on the magicJack application.
Finally, you don’t have to have your phone plugged in or your computer on for magicJack to work. IF your computer is off or the magicJack is unplugged, callers will simply get your voicemail. You can always check for messages once you have it back on. In fact, magicJack will show if you have messages waiting.
So there you have it, magicJack, giving phone companies a run for their money. You can get yours over at http://www.magicjack.com

Voice has for decades been a “service” sold by the “the line” or as an “application” created by a premises switch. Now voice also is a feature of instant messaging, Web sites, enterprise applications and email. As a result, there now are multiple business models, revenue streams and applications that use the “voice” feature. This panel will examine some of the ways this is happening, and what it means for traditional providers of voice services.
