Western electric introduced the one-piece 302 series in 1936. Millions of these instruments were produced. They became the standard instruments for more than twenty years. BTW, one of the instruments shown is actually a 5302, an old 1930’s vintage 302 modernized by being fitted with a “500″ style case.
